The Allotments Shop
The shop is generally open on Saturday mornings from 11:00 am to 12:30 all year round. It’s run by volunteers mainly for the benefit of other Whitemoor gardeners, but is also open to gardeners from other allotment sites and local people who want to grow fruit and veg at home. You can access the shop via the main gate on Wilkinson Street during opening times.
The shop sells peat free compost, soil improvers, fertilisers, etc., canes, netting, landscape fabric, a small number of tools and other horticultural items. You can also buy seed potatoes, onion sets and garlic at certain times of year, whilst honey and eggs from bees and chickens kept on the allotments are also sometimes available.
