The Show and Open Day are nearly upon us, hope you’re polishing your carrots and buffing your onions. If you have never entered before do have a go, its great fun!
Friday 15th August
Putting up marquees and setting out tables from 4pm
Saturday 16th August
Bring items to enter into the produce show between 10-12 O’clock
Prize Giving and viewing of produce at 4.30pm
Tea and Cakes will be available from 4pm
Sunday 17th August
A great opportunity to look at each others allotments and enjoy a day together.
The way this will work is –
If you are coming on Sunday it would be great for you to have your allotment open for part of the day for others to come and have a look around. Just leave your gate open so people know they are welcome to come in (its up to you if you wish to stay on your allotment or not).
The site will not be open to public so the main gates will be locked, however you are more than welcome to invite family and friends to spend time with you at the allotments. Note that you are responsible for any visitors which includes letting them in and out again.
We suggest that your allotment be open anytime from 10-12.30 and again from 2-4pm.
Lunchtime 12.30-2pm – we would love you to come and eat your lunch in the main car park, you can either bring a picnic or food for you to cook on a barbecue. We will provide barbecues (meat and vegetarian), tables, chairs, plates, cutlery and drinks.
4pm – come and collect your produce from the tent. Any food not collected will be donated to the NG7 Food bank.
Assist to take down marquees and put away tables, etc.
