Public Open Day, 31 July 2016

WGHA is pleased to be throwing open the gates of Whitemoor Allotments on Sunday 31st July from 1 – 5pm for our first public open day for two years. A selection of the 140 plots will be open for visitors to wander round and talk to the gardeners concerned about what they grow and how, in the ground, in raised beds, in greenhouses and polytunnels. You’ll also be able to buy some produce direct from the growers.

If you’re thinking of taking on an allotment, or sharing one, or want to join our waiting list, this is an ideal opportunity to find out more about what’s involved.

Entrance is free and we’ll be serving free refreshments from our community cabin with maps to help you find your way around the site. There will be some activities for children including a Whitemoor trail.

Please book online to help us know in advance know how many people to expect. We can then let you know nearer the time if anything changes or if we have to cancel for any reason.
